What’s Calling Me Forward Today

There’s a pervasive discomfort in the pace of modern life, a sense that if I stop moving, I’ll fall behind. It’s as if the world’s rhythm is set to a tempo that, by nature, I was never meant to match. I’ve often felt I had to run to keep up, and that to slow down was to risk failure, poverty, or irrelevance.
Then I thought, maybe what feels like a race – a race I never signed up for – is actually a chase, and what’s chasing me is not time, but fear?
Fear of not having enough.
Fear of not becoming enough.
Fear that my worth might expire if I pause.
When I see it that way, I notice how much of my energy goes into fleeing rather than creating. My motion disguises itself as progress, but it’s fueled by resistance, not by vision.
The shift comes when I ask a different question:
“What’s calling me forward today?”
That question restores freedom. It turns life from pursuit into participation. Instead of being chased by what I fear, I’m drawn by what I love. It reconnects me to a natural rhythm — one that doesn’t demand urgency but invites responsiveness.
Life – and business – becomes less about keeping pace and more about keeping faith — faith that the future is not a threat but an opening; that what’s calling me forward is already woven into who I am.
And that, my fellow climbers, excites me.
